ENVIROMENTAL CARE

The impacts on the environment of a photovoltaic plant are very low, but they always create alterations in the balance of the ecosystem. We have faithfully met all the highest standards and national and international good practices to which we are attached.

During the construction phase all aspects and impacts on air, noise, water, soil, wildlife and flora were mitigated.

Air: During construction we have constantly mitigated the air pollution of tanker trucks to minimize the pollution caused by the work.

All machinery during the construction and operation phase was and are periodically reviewed so that they do not exceed the established emission levels.

Noise: Through specialized equipment noise levels were periodically measured during the construction of PANASOLAR I, reports were sent to national authorities and the institutions that support us.

In the operation phase of a photovoltaic plant, there are no engines or equipment that produce noise, so the vehicles and machinery needed for maintenance are new and regularly reviewed.

Water: The el Copial that crosses PANASOLAR I making three hydrological studies of the basin and natural drains to avoid any contamination and alteration of the water levels and the quality of the water

Soil: Constant maintenance was given to the access road to the nearby village of Vista Hermosa improving the road drainage system.

Very rigorous measures were taken to mitigate the inevitable effects of soil erosion during the construction phase.

Weekly reports were made of the state of machinery used by contractors and contingency measures were taken for possible incidents.

Wildlife: Wildlife rescue and relocation studies were conducted to minimize disruption of local fauna lunistic balance.

Flora: During the development of the project, two very detailed studies of arborization were carried out.

The whole approach was aimed at limiting the felling of trees to the maximum and at the end of the work 380 new dawns were planted, so we maintain a positive balance with respect to the pre-existing tree cover. In addition, isolated forest redoubts were protected to maintain ecosystem balance.

All contractors and direct workers were given daily environmental and safety training talks so that all involved comply with the environmental and occupational safety standards imposed by national regulation and the best international practices to which we are committed to complying.

Throughout the development of the project, the road plan was implemented in agreement with the community and the National Police, which made available three uniforms to ensure the safety of the passer-by, especially all of the most vulnerable, such as children and the elderly
